The Technology Behind VitalDrop

Meet the Tasso Device

A shoulder-placed capillary blood collector that replaces the needle, the clinic, and the anxiety. One device. Full panel. Zero stress.

Blood collection, reimagined

The Tasso device is a compact, single-use capillary blood collection system. You place it on your upper arm or shoulder, press a button, and it gently draws the exact volume of blood our lab needs — no tourniquet, no phlebotomist, no waiting room.

It's the same science behind every VitalDrop panel: high-quality capillary samples, processed in CLIA-certified labs, delivered to your dashboard in 72 hours.

Why Tasso

Four reasons it's better than a blood draw

Capillary Blood Collection

The Tasso device gently draws capillary blood from the shallow vessels near the surface of your shoulder — the same high-quality sample a lab uses, without a phlebotomist.

Painless & Needle-Free Feel

Most users report little to no sensation. There are no large needles — just a small, self-contained collection module that does the work for you.

Under 5 Minutes

Place it on, press a button, and go about your morning. The device fills automatically and stops on its own when the sample is complete.

Clinical-Grade Accuracy

Tasso-collected samples are validated against standard venous draws. Your results meet the same CLIA-certified lab standards as a clinic visit.

Questions

Everything you want to know

Does it hurt?

The vast majority of users feel nothing more than a mild pinch or slight pressure. The device accesses capillaries just beneath the skin surface — not deep veins — so the experience is far more comfortable than a traditional blood draw.

How much blood does it collect?

The Tasso device collects roughly 0.5–1 mL of capillary blood — more than enough to run our full 18+ biomarker panel across all six categories.

Is it as accurate as a venous blood draw?

Yes. Tasso-collected capillary samples are validated against venous draws and processed in the same CLIA-certified, COLA-accredited laboratories. Studies show comparable results across all markers we test.

Can anyone use it?

The device is designed for adults of all ages. If you have a bleeding disorder, are on blood thinners, or have skin conditions near the collection site, consult your physician before use.

What if the device doesn't fill completely?

Each kit includes collection guidance. If the sample is insufficient, our support team will send a replacement device at no cost — just reach out through your dashboard.
